DragonRidge Country Club
Clubhouse: DragonRidge Country Clubs clubhouse is
a two-story, 27,000 sq. ft. facility that majestically folds into
the southern landscape of the Las Vegas foothills.
The dramatic forms of the copper metal roof give the building its
in-flight image, while shading the structure with deep overhangs.
Grounding the airborne structure are massive stonewalls, one of
which is the major spine of the building and has a profile emulating
the dragon ridge of the mountains. The color palette
of the striking stonework on the building includes shades of violets
and grays that melt gracefully into the somber background of Black
Mountain.
Inside the clubhouse, the soaring sensation is created by the high
vaulted ceilings and large windows that span the facades and light
the spaces poetically. HCA Architects are as proud of the DragonRidge
Clubhouse as they are of many other distinguished, award-winning
commissions contained in their portfolio.
Instruction: The country club offers group lessons, group
series, playing series as well as private schools. Each day consists
of 5-7 hours including instruction on all facets of the game, complimentary
lunch and 18 holes of golf.
DragonRidge Country Club features an outstanding practice area,
which offers unrestricted use to its members. Use of these facilities
is also available to unaccompanied guests and is complimentary with
pre-arranged tee times. In addition to driving range, practice facilities
also include two bent grass practice greens, a greenside and fairway
bunker.
